Bill Fikes owns
Webmusher Design and Hosting, a Wasilla
based web design and Internet hosting company serving Southcentral Alaska since
1999. Bill started using computers by drawing pictures on the sides of punch
cards and watching them zip across a room full of mainframe computers and card
readers and redraw on the other side of the room like a Star Trek transporter.
Only it was 1963 in a US Army computer room in France and Star Trek was still
several years in the future. Bill created the first published digital art in
Alaska in 1967 for the Alaska Railroad.
